Tee Ball is for children currently in Pre-K and Kindergarten.  The focus of this league is teaching basic fundamentals like throwing, catching, hitting, fielding, baserunning, teamwork, and of course to have fun.  Once teams are formed, each team will be provided with several practices before games start.   Practice and Games are typically Monday through Saturday.  Start times during the week are after 5pm and Saturday games start at 9am and run throughout the day.  Practices will start around the beginning of May, with games ending around mid-July.  Please note that game days and/or times could vary on final schedules because of field availability and number of teams.

Tee Ball games are scheduled for three innings, or 1 hour.  Each team will bat through the order regardless of outs or runs each inning.  Batter will be allowed 5 pitches to put the ball in play.  After the 5 pitches, the batter will have to give way to the next batter.

This league is very laid back.  We understand that everyone is busy.  If you can't make a game or practice or will be late, its imparative to let your coach know.

If your child is in Kindergarten and can consistently hit a pitched ball, throw accurately, and catch routinely, we do offer the opportunity to potentially move up into the rookie league.  If you might be interested in having your child play in the rookie league instead of tee ball, please email amherstball@gmail.com
